Margaret Nakazi is a lone parent with six children. Her husband has recently passed away, and she now supplies all the family food and other needs. The mortality rate for children in Uganda nationally is 122/1000 (Kabale District Report 2002). Margaret is managing to bring up her six children who are well nourished and healthy. Trained with Kulika, here she is pictured with her chicken shed she is making on the farm in Nakasongola district.
