I am an award-winning documentary photographer with 20 years’ experience of covering social and environmental issues. I work for a wide range of clients, from community-based organisations to leading news titles.

My work is mainly in a documentary reportage and portrait style, using the latest Canon digital equipment to capture contexts and tell stories.

I am based in London with my young family, but I work throughout the UK and around the world. Recent assignments range from highlighting the challenges of child trafficking in India to documenting star-studded awards ceremonies in London.

As well as extensive practical experience, I have a sound technical background including a degree in documentary photography.

My clients value the fact that I don’t just see things from a photographer’s point of view. Previous roles as a picture editor and photographic agent mean that I know what makes an image stand out and I understand the challenges of commissioning photographers. I always deliver projects on time and on brief.

I don’t hide behind the camera – I engage with my subjects quickly to understand their situation and put them at ease, resulting in unique access and stronger pictures.
